Bishop’s life verse is Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”.
Pastor Kim Ford – Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church
Reverend Kimberly Ford is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and minister of the gospel. Born in Washington, DC, she is the fifth daughter of Reverend Freddie and (the late) Margaret Workman Davis. She received her primary education in the Prince George’s County Public School System and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of 8 years old. In 1989, she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work from Bowie State University and a Master of Social Work from Howard University in 2005.
Since the age of 9, she has been a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where she has proven herself to be a faithful follower as she served in various ministries including Christian Education, Music/Fine Arts, Youth and Young Adult, Ushers, and Higher Education Ministry(HEM) during which God dealt meticulously with her, preparing her until she understood the call God had on her life. In 2003, she answered the call from God to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and was licensed on July 19, 2003 and ordained on July 16, 2010 under the pastorate of her father, Pastor Freddie Davis.
Serving as Youth Pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church for more than 17 years, Pastor Kim or Reverend Kim as she is affectionately known, mentors, counsels, guides, encourages, lovingly corrects, and teaches both the young and young at heart.
Pastor Ford has been married to the love of her life, Deacon Bruce Ford since 1990. They are the proud parents of their daughter, Courtney Chanel.
Reverend Ford is grateful for God’s blessing of grace and new mercies which give her hope to share with those whom God places in her path as in
Lamentations 3:22-24 ESV 22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
Pastor Connie Gore - Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church
The third daughter of five was born to Pastor Freddie Davis and the Late Margaret Workman Davis. Raised and educated in Prince George’s County Maryland, Reverend Connie Davis Gore was called to preach when she was 27 years old. She was the first female preacher to receive licensing (1989) and to become ordained into the Gospel ministry (1999) by the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of her biological father, Senior Pastor Freddie Davis.
For over 30 years, Reverend Gore served the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church as Minister of Christian Education where she was responsible for the educational needs of the congregation. She has also served as Assistant to the Pastor for the past 20+ years. She is also a part of the Executive Council responsible for guiding the leadership of the church. Her guiding scripture is Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Pastor Hall - Pastor Michael Hall
Pastor Michael Hall is the Senior Pastor of The Peoples Church of Camp Springs, Maryland. He has been on staff for 38 years and pastor for 28 years. He was called to the pastorate in 1992 after 10 years of working on staff and studying.
For all those years in the ministry, Pastor Hall worked alongside of his beloved wife First Lady Terry Hall, the love of his life. It was their vision to show people the love of Christ through the Word of God and teach them to live according to Biblical principles. They especially loved ministering to young people, and, building bridges between people by carrying on the vision of the founding pastors, Pastor Hall’s parents. Terry and Michael’s vision is The Peoples Church motto: “Love God. Love People. Change the World.” They were the Co-directors of the U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon for 26 years. Because the written Word of God was so important to them, they hosted a non-political event that brought people from many denominations together each year in May to read through the entire Bible in 4 days on the steps of the US Capitol. Base on the foundation of Isaiah 55:11. “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please. And is shall prosper in the thing which I sent it.”
Pastor Hall feels his greatest accomplishment in life was the marriage to the love of his life, Terry. After almost 49 years together, and with many plans for the future, Terry lost a 2-year battle to cancer. Pastor Hall’s beautiful, beloved wife died in his arms, Saturday, May 25, 2019. In spite of this devastating loss, Pastor Hall feels God leading him to continue pastoring and shepherding through prayer and the Word to those that God allows him to minister to.

Prayer Call-in Number: 267-807-9601 (access code 572313#)
(Announce your name then mute your phone)
As we strive to build and grow as a church and community, we want to solicit your prayers and cooperation during our praying and fasting. We want to ask the Lord for His guidance, so that we might have clear, Godly wisdom, knowledge and vision for the growth and development of our church and the surrounding community.
We continue to face situations everyday such as sickness and disease, aging, disharmony in the home, the social impacts of politics, the slow return of disciples to the place of worship, not to mention the violence within our community and gun violence among our youth. How could we deal with these and other situations without the help of our Father! Our prayer is that the Lord will show us how to be a positive influence in this community to address these trials. There is no time to wait for someone else to come along and fix the problems, we must put our hands to the plow, roll up our sleeves, get outside of the four walls of the church building, and do as God commands us to do in Matthew 28:19-20 – go into all the world, teach, baptize, witness, preach, and tell others that Jesus loves them.
Note: Isaiah 43:2 KJV
[2] When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
As we pray to God during this period of 21 days of praying and fasting and 20 nights of Revival and forward, let us pray as the scripture instructed us to do as God’s children.
Text: 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

Daniel 10th Chapter:
Daniel 10:1-21 KJV
[1] In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision. [2] In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. [3] I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. [4] And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; [5] Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: [6] His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. [7] And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. [8] Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. [9] Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. [10] And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. [11] And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. [12] Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. [13] But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. [14] Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. [15] And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. [16] And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. [17] For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. [18] Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me, [19] And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me. [20] Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. [21] But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
Note: In our Praying and Fasting for 2024/2025, please remember I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. I know that it is a difficult task, but please let me encourage you by saying, we can all do this for these 21 days. God will help us if we allow Him to do so.
